People have a right to complain, and people that dont see anything wrong with this fudged up event are just licking the asses of every Anet developer and leading them to believe there isnt anything wrong with their actions.

Also most people only found out about the polar bear yesterday at the earliest. They didnt have enough time to obtain one, even Gaile said before this it was false and there wasnt a mini polar bear.

This event was a disaster.

I'm only annoyed that the gift giver has gone, would be nice to have been able to trade in the last shards seeing as they still drop.

The abrupt removal of npcs = useless candy cane shards, not to mention the polar bear fiasco that I pushed the very limits of human endurance trying to get. >_>

I doubt I'll still be here in a year. I've enjoyed GW, but my interest is fading after playing it for over 2 1/2 years. From what I've seen, I'm not the only one. My guild is almost maxed, but guild chat is dead. Alliance chat is virtually dead. Not that many people are playing anymore...at least in my alliance.

I've never been one that preached that "the end is near," but I feel it is for me. Anet isn't helping with things like this. As someone else mentioned, they dangle something like this new mini under our noses then yank it out. Their customer service is getting worse everyday. IMHO, with service like this, no one will be left to play GW2.

I don't mean to sound so melodramatic. I guess I just don't like the direction I've seen Anet and GW going in lately.

I was mainly referring to the Polar Bear complaints. I agree the the Wintersday Gift Giver should be there a little longer, but that's not a problem for me because I knew the event was coming to an end and took the initiative to exchange it after every trip as the time was winding down. But yeah, that NPC should be there a little longer since there people that are busy, lazy, not as smart, etc.

Oh i had the initiative to cash in my other shards too, but here i just mapped from Kodash to LA to find out there were more NPCs. So yeah they should bring at least the collectors back.

I understand the wanton desire for the polar bear, but its not like Anet hid the chest. The chest was there from the start of the event.

Yes, it wasnt confirmed till after the finale...but thats not the point.

A good request would be for the existing dungeon chest to drop polar bears at a incredibly tiny ration.

Those complaints are pretty legit to me.

about 27 hours - thats how long people had to get a polar bear. For many it wouldnt matter if you farmed 27 hours straight, you would NEVER be able to get one as the event has been pulled.

but at least I know I tried my best and so cant regret. eh?

And yes the chest was there from the start is not in dispute. But whether the programming code for the Polar bear was there from the start IS highly debatable.

The only thing "fudged up" is people's feeling of entitlement to a rare mini pet. Nothing went technically wrong with the festival other than a few lag problems.

I also object on behalf of every other mature-thinking person participating in this community that "arse licking" goes on. Just like everything in life, there are shades of grey, and we are quite entitled to support a company as a whole that has created a pretty cool game.

If thats the case then why am I not "complaining" about all of them?

Why am I not here saying that I want X and Y from your example list?
Could it be that it was (at some point) or IS POSSIBLE for me to get them?

That If i pushed myself to my gaming limits and beyond , I could get any title, and achievement. Isnt that what gaming is all about?

Where you fail is that you assume I'm being lazy and just want things because I "exist".

And what youre saying would be true if I hadnt almost made myself ILL trying to EARN IT . 20/27 hrs that Anet gave us. You cannot fault me for effort.

If you did everything right to EARN fow armour , and then Anet just took it out a second before you entered fow to get it....not so stupid now is it.

I have a full set of tormented weps , a panda blah blah , fow armour - I know what I have earned and I know how hard I worked for it.

Anet expected ppl to crash farm this thing - I did everything they asked for and more - so yeah , some sense of disappointment and entitlement is there, I wouldnt be human if it wasnt.
